Actor Matt Damon will travel more than 10,000 miles (16,000 kilometres) in the space of just five days as he jets between London and Los Angeles to see his children. Damon has been in London to promote his new movie The Monuments Men, which was premiered in the U.K. capital on Tuesday (11Feb14), and he is due to attend the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards on Sunday (16Feb14). However, he decided to fly back to his home in Los Angeles after the premiere to spend two days with his family before travelling back to London for the prizegiving, where he is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for Behind The Candelabra. Damon tells U.K. chat show host Lorraine Kelly,"It would either be a six day trip (to London) or a 10 day trip. It's going to be a six day trip." However, the actor insists he actually enjoys long-haul flights, adding, "I don't mind long flights when I'm by myself actually. I catch up on every thing that I can't do normally. I watch movies, I watch TV shows, I read books. I actually love it. Nobody can reach me for 12 hours." Damon is father to four girls with his wife Luciana, including her daughter Alexia from a previous marriage.
