Classical violinist Vanessa-Mae finished last in her ski race at the Winter Olympics in Russia on Tuesday (18Feb14). The musician is representing Thailand at the Games in Sochi and she made her debut in the Women's Giant Slalom event. Vanessa-Mae, who is competing under the name Vanessa Vanakorn, finished in last place at 67th after completing two runs on Tuesday. However, the 35-year-old star admits she is happy to have fulfilled her Olympics dream and completed the race without injury, saying, "With my limited experience at my age - I only started training six months ago - I'm just glad I made it down. It was rock and roll at times - I nearly crashed out three times - but I'm happy. I grew up in London so I'm afraid I brought the weather with me."
