Rockers Slipknot have baffled fans by taking down their official website and imposing a blackout on all their social networking outlets. The band, fronted by Corey Taylor, recently sparked fears for their future when they parted ways with founding member Joey Jordison, and now devotees have been thrown into a panic by a wave of strange occurrences across the heavy metal group's online pages. Slipknot's website has been deactivated, with fans seeing nothing but a black screen when they attempt to log on, while swathes of black have been posted on the band's Facebook.com, Instagram.com and Twitter.com pages. The move has sparked gossip among devotees, many of whom fear the cryptic darkness spells the end of the band, while others suggest the rockers have imposed a blackout while they are working on a new album in the studio.
