The stars of Glee paid another emotional tribute to late castmate Cory Monteith on the latest episode of the U.S. TV show, performing what was his character's favourite songs for the tragic actor's screen mum and stepfather. In the City of Angels episode, which aired in America on Tuesday night (11Mar14), Monteith's character Finn Hudson was remembered by William McKinley High School's glee club, New Directions, during a special dedication. Actress Romy Rosemont, who portrays Hudson's grieving mother Carole on the show, turned to her onscreen husband, played by Mike O'Malley, and tearfully told him, "They're singing all of his favourite songs", as images of Monteith in character flashed up on the screen for viewers at home. At the end of the performance, Chord Overstreet's character Sam pulled out Hudson's drumsticks and held them proudly in the air before dashing offstage in tears. Monteith died from a drug overdose in July (13). His character has also been killed off.
