The stuntman who was paralysed during the filming of the Harry Potter movies suffers flashbacks from the day of the tragic accident. Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double David Holmes suffered catastrophic back injuries after falling from a harness at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England during rehearsals for a flying scene in 2009. He was devastated when doctors told him he would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and he has now opened up about how the accident changed his life forever. Although Holmes is determined to stay positive as he learns to live with his disability, he is haunted by memories of that fateful day. He tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "There was definitely a sense of tragedy for me, but also a sense of sheer determination to beat it and better it. "Having a positive mental attitude means everything... Sometimes I do get flashbacks from the accident - I re-live it sometimes when I'm drifting off to sleep - but it's something I've learned to live with and manage." Holmes also reveals he has set up his own production company and still likes to push himself to extremes by driving a special racing car. He adds, "I haven't let my accident affect my outlook on life and I am still very determined and positive. "I also haven't let it hold me back in life and I still enjoy track days racing my car, going on holidays with my friends and am now looking forward to starting a new career."
