A Tennessee man arrested in connection to the murder of Johnny Cash's grand niece has pleaded not guilty. Wayne Gary Masciaella was taken into custody after Courtney Cash was found stabbed to death in her apartment on 19 March (14). Her boyfriend, William Austin Johnson, was also injured during the altercation, but he survived. On Wednesday (26Mar14), Masciaella entered the plea in a Putnam County courtroom. A judge ordered him to be held without bail, according to tennessean.com. Meanwhile, his court-appointed lawyer is planning to file a motion next week (begs31Mar14) to keep TV news cameras out of the courtroom. He says, "The cameras make it a Law & Order episode. Talk about tainting a jury pool."
