Rocker Ricky Wilson was prescribed anti-anxiety medication as he battled nerves and severe dizzy spells before his first live show as a coach on the U.K. version of The Voice. The Kaiser Chiefs frontman joined the panel for the series' third run earlier this year (14), alongside fellow newcomer Kylie Minogue and original panellists will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones. He fared well in the pre-recorded part of the series, but he was overcome with crippling nerves when the shows went live in March (14). Wilson's condition became so bad, his doctor prescribed him anti-anxiety pills to take before going on air. He tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I went to the doctors because I was dizzy and the doctor said, 'You are a bit anxious.' Every time I stood up I thought I was going to fall over. "I was given tablets which I pretended to take - I thought they might do something weird." Instead of taking the pills, Wilson relied on support from Jones and Minogue: "They were constantly there. When I was flagging emotionally, Kylie would point out the cameras to give me a steer. "It took every ounce of strength to get on with it but my fears went as soon as the camera was rolling."
