Socialite and fashion designer Nicole Richie is heading back to reality TV after landing a deal for her online series #candidlynicole. Lionel Richie's daughter has been starring in a digital mini-series for Internet giant AOL over the past few months, and the episodes about her daily adventures have proved so popular with fans, the show has been picked up by network executives at America's VH1, and it will premiere in July (14). VH1 representative Susan Levison says, "Nicole's sharp, acerbic sense of humour and broad audience appeal make #CandidlyNicole a perfect fit for the VH1 brand. "Viewers will enjoy her unique point of view and earnest look at pop culture as well as her fearless exploration of anything and everything taboo." Richie has also scored a first look/development deal with the network for her Honey Child Productions firm for all future projects. She previously enjoyed TV fame on The Simple Life, with her pal Paris Hilton, while she has also served as a mentor on U.S. design competition show Fashion Star.
