British celebrity chef Nigella Lawson has remained silent amid mounting speculation over reports suggesting she was banned from boarding a plane out of London over the weekend (29-30Mar14). The TV star has hit headlines in her native U.K. since editors of Britain's Daily Mail newspaper reported she was turned away as she attempted to board a flight from London's Heathrow Airport to Los Angeles on Sunday (30Mar14). A source told the newspaper, "She didn't seem to say much, but she did not look happy. She could not get on the flight so she had to turn around and leave." The story has sparked speculation Lawson was denied permission to fly to the U.S. due to her court testimony last year (13), when she admitted taking cocaine during a fraud trial involving two of her former aides. However, Lawson, who was heading off on holiday, has opted to stay silent on the matter. A representative for the TV chef tells WENN, "We're not commenting on the story."
