British actor Warwick Davis has made a public appeal to director J.J. Abrams for a role in the new Star Wars movie. The Harry Potter star landed his first film role playing an Ewok in 1983's Return of the Jedi, and he returned to the franchise in the prequel trilogy to appear in 1999's Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Production recently began on the latest installment in the sci-fi franchise, Star Wars: Episode VII, and Davis wants the film's director, Abrams, to give him a part. He tells U.K. TV show Lorraine, "I'm dropping lots of hints. I think J.J. Abrams, the director, watches (TV show) Lorraine , so J.J., if you're out there, give me a part. It would be lovely to have a cameo because I did the classic trilogy as Wicket Ewok, the prequels I had a few roles in. It would be lovely to get at least something in the sequels just to say I've been in all of three Star Wars trilogies."
