Jane Fonda felt apprehensive about shooting a film with Russell Crowe because she was worried the actor might be "moody," "standoffish" and "hard to work with". The Hollywood actress shares the screen with Crowe in upcoming drama Fathers and Daughters, playing a literary agent opposite his author character, and ahead of filming, Fonda had reservations about working with the Gladiator star.

She writes in a post on her official website, "I play his friend and literary agent. I didn't know what to expect and was excited and nervous. Was he going to be standoffish? Moody? Hard to work with?" However, Fonda admits her concerns were unfounded because she actually enjoyed working with him, writing, "I needn't have worried... in between takes, he was friendly, present and smart. OMG (oh my God) the man is smart and thoughtful. I had no idea. I guess I should have, because how do you wrap yourself around roles like the ones he played in The Gladiator (sic), A Beautiful Mind or, more recently, Noah, without a depth of intelligence?"

Fathers and Daughters is scheduled for release next year (15).
