Two leading British bookmakers have suspended betting on a 2014 Oasis reunion amid growing rumours the rockers are the secret special guests lined up to headline Glastonbury festival. The Wonderwall hitmakers split in 2009 following a furious bust-up between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, but rumours of a comeback have swirled ever since. Fans were sent into a spin on Thursday (24Apr14) when former frontman Liam spelled out the band's name on his Twitter.com page, and rumours of a comeback concert have since snowballed. Many fans are speculating Oasis are slated to fill the still-vacant 'special guests' slot on the line-up for this year's (14) Glastonbury, and the gossip has sparked a betting frenzy. On Friday (25Apr14), bosses at bookmakers Ladbrokes and Paddy Power announced they have suspended betting on the possibility of the band reforming to play at the iconic event. However, original Oasis member Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs has since revealed he was out drinking with Gallagher hours before the rocker sent the tweets and he is adamant a band reunion was not discussed. He tells NME.com, "(It was) probably the fact that I texted him going, 'Meet me in the beer garden'. That probably rattled his cage (annoyed him). Maybe that. I don't know though, because I meet him every f**king month. Maybe he's just reminiscing." Representatives for both Noel and Liam Gallagher had not responded to requests for comment as WENN went to press.
