British rocker Liam Gallagher is desperately in need of a hair transplant to replace his thinning locks, according to a leading baldness expert. The former Oasis star was snapped outside Manhattan Supreme Court in New York City on Monday (05May14) following a child support hearing regarding his 16-month-old lovechild with U.S. journalist Liza Ghorbani. Gallagher could be seen in the image showing clear signs of hair loss and he is a prime candidate for revolutionary replacement surgery, according to the U.K.'s leading baldness expert Dr. Asim Shahmalak. The surgeon, from the Crown Clinic in Manchester, England, has already performed the procedure on several British TV and sports stars, and he tells WENN, "Liam Gallagher is clearly losing his hair around his temples. He is showing obvious signs of male pattern baldness in these new pictures of him... His hair loss is sufficiently advanced to require a hair transplant... "In Liam's case, a transplant could have a very positive effect. It would fill in the areas around the temple where he has noticeable bald spots. "I suspect that Liam is currently shaving his head to cover up his baldness - a lot of men do this. With a hair transplant, the hair at the front of his scalp would be fully restored and Liam could go back to growing his hair long again and restoring his trademark floppy fringe. Liam shouldn't feel too bad about losing his hair - around 40 per cent of men aged 40 are suffering from male pattern baldness."
