Actor Jason Biggs is facing a backlash on Twitter.com after he made a joke about a U.S. reality show contestant who died in a paragliding accident last month (Apr14). The American Pie star is renowned for tweeting humorous commentaries while watching hit programmes The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, in which singletons search for love. The latest season of The Bachelorette kicked off in the U.S. on Monday night (19May14), when viewers were informed that Eric Hill, one of the men vying for a romance with brunette beauty Andi Dorfman, had died after filming wrapped. During the broadcast, Biggs took to Twitter to write, "Crazy rule change - instead of voting off the contestants, this season #TheBachelorette gets to kill them off." He then added, "Here's what I can tell you without watching - 8 of the 20 guys are in the closet, all of them work out, and 2 can do simple division. And 19 of them are still alive. #TooSoon." Fans began bombarding the actor with tweets criticising him for mocking Hill's passing, but the star refused to apologise. After re-tweeting a number of negative posts about his remarks, he wrote, "Don't forget to keep checking my Twitter feed for all the latest in controversial celeb news!"
