Former Oasis star Tony Mccarroll is selling off the drum kit he played in the studio while recording the band's debut album Definitely Maybe. The rocker has put his old kit up for auction next month (Jun14). It is expected to fetch $24,000 (£15,000). McCarroll, who left Oasis under a cloud in 1995 and took his former bandmates to court for a share of profits, says, "This drum kit was used by me throughout my time with Oasis, from the very beginning during rehearsals at the Boardwalk in Manchester through touring and the recording of Definitely Maybe. "I have owned the kit ever since and as it is just gathering dust, I have decided to give Oasis fans the opportunity to own it." The kit will be a hot item at Christie's Pop Culture auction in London on 20 June (14). A Brit Award won by the band will also be going under the hammer at the sale.
