Meek Mill has been sued by a former cop who alleges the rapper ruined his career. The Ima Boss hitmaker, real name Robert Williams, recently lost a legal battle with authorities in Pennsylvania after filing a civil rights lawsuit targeting Philadelphia city officials and two police officers over claims his car was pulled over by cops in 2012 due to racial profiling. No charges were filed against Williams and his three passengers, who were arrested and detained for several hours, and the hip-hop star later sued for damages, but lost his case last month (May14). Now one of the police officers involved in the arrest and subsequent legal case has filed his own lawsuit against Williams. The unnamed man, who is no longer part of the police force, claims he has struggled to find a new job because the rapper allegedly tarnished his reputation by defaming him in interviews. In documents obtained by TMZ.com, the former cop also claims the legal battle had "a strong (negative) affect on my life and relationship performance with my fiancee". He is seeking damages amounting to $750,000 (£468,000).
