British rocker Sam Duckworth will turn his back on his Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly moniker after a special 10th anniversary farewell gig in London this autumn (14). The singer, who has performed with his band under the unique name since 2004, reveals he is preparing to start a new chapter in his life and will bow out as Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly after one final show at The Forum on 12 September (14). Announcing the news on his official website, he writes, "It feels like time for a change and the best way to end something great is with a party. I'll be with as many band members as possible and playing songs from across the albums but to be honest, mostly the first." Duckworth insists he won't be retiring from music, and fans will still have plenty to look forward to, adding, "As for the future, there is a lost Get Cape album, a solo album and tonnes (sic) more to come very soon. "Please keep checking back on the website, or keep in touch through the wonder of social media. I'm looking forward to sharing the final weeks of this decade long project with you." Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly rose to fame with his debut album Tales of a Bohemian Teenager in 2006. His fourth release, Maps, hit retailers in 2012.
