British actor Vinnie Jones has swapped action movies for fairy tales to star in musical TV series Galavant. The former soccer star found fame as an actor in the 1990s with tough guy roles in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, but has now turned to more light-hearted fare with the medieval comedy. The eight-part U.S. show tells the story of Prince Galavant's quest for revenge over the King who stole his one true love. Jones will play Gareth, the King's henchman, in the musical show. He tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "It is like Monty Python. It's a medieval comedy and very different to what's out there... It is very hilarious. I am having a run on the comedy at the moment, it's my thing. It is an adventure." The show will be filmed in the U.K. in August (14) and is scheduled to air on America's ABC channel in January (15).
