Actor Stephen Moyer has ruled out reprising his True Blood role on Broadway if plans for a musical adaptation of the hit vampire drama comes to fruition.
The 44-year-old star, who plays blood-thirsty Bill Compton in the TV series opposite his wife Anna Paquin, worked with composer Nathan Barr on some of the songs for the proposed musical, but he has no plans to hit the stage.
He tells the New York Daily News, "Working in Broadway is tough and we have a young family here in L.A. And this stage show would be a younger man's role. "It's time for me to move on from this now. I have loved every minute of it, but Anna and I are laying it to rest."
The True Blood TV series comes to an end later this year (14) after seven seasons.
