Sienna Miller's visit to a refugee camp in Lebanon was cut short after a suicide bomber caused carnage at a nearby security check point. The British actress jetted to the country last week (ends22Jun14) to visit Syrian refugees as part of her role as a Global Ambassador for the International Medical Corps. However, the trip, which was documented by Britain's ITV news, was cut short in the aftermath of Friday's (20Jun14) atrocity, which killed one police officer and injured 37 other people. Miller was travelling to refugee camps in a convoy with representatives from the International Medical Corps and the TV crew when news of the bombing broke. The actress continued with the camp visit, but it was cut short after just 20 minutes so the convoy could find a safe route back to the capital Beirut, according to ITV News. The outlet reports Miller's convoy travelled through the targeted checkpoint shortly before the bombing. Miller says of the explosion, "It goes to show that the work International Medical Corps are doing in this region is very heroic and really necessary." The group arrived back in Beirut without incident and Miller has since flown to the U.S. to continue filming for a new movie project.
