Actor Columbus Short's estranged wife Tanee has landed a huge spousal support settlement when her husband failed to show up in court on Wednesday (25Jun14). Neither Short nor his lawyer attended the family court hearing in Los Angeles, prompting a judge to award Tanee over $17,000 (GBP10,700)-a-month in spousal support and $4,542 (GBP2,800)-a-month in child support. The actor was also ordered to pay his wife's legal fees, reports TMZ.com. Short was barred from approaching his soon-to-be ex until the end of July (14), after he was accused of violating a restraining order six times in a month. Tanee obtained the protection order against the former Scandal star in April (14), amid allegations he had threatened to kill her during a heated domestic dispute. He lost an appeal against the ruling and was ordered to move his belongings out of their marital home, but he was subsequently accused of breaking into the California property. Tanee initially filed for divorce from the star in September, 2013 after eight years of marriage. They are parents to a young daughter named Ayala.
