Michael Hutchence's half-sister has penned an open letter to persuade his daughter Tiger Lily to visit Australia. Tiger Lily, daughter of the Australian singer and late British TV presenter Paula Yates, was raised in the U.K. by Yates' ex-husband Bob Geldof from the age of four after both her parents died. She has had little contact with her Australian relatives, and the singer's half sister, Tina Hutchence, now wants the teenager to learn about her heritage ahead of her milestone 18th birthday on 22 July (14). In an open letter, published in New Ideas Magazine, Hutchence writes, "I know Michael would want you to visit Australia, the country he loved so much. He made certain you had an Australian passport, and he desperately wanted you to spend your formative years here. "You don't remember how he held you to his chest and sang in a voice so sweet and gentle until you closed your eyes and drifted off; but I do." Hutchence's former INXS bandmate Tim Garriss is also hoping for a reunion with Tiger Lily, who he has not seen since she was a baby. Hutchence committed suicide in 1997 and Yates died from a heroin overdose in 2000.
