Singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams' new album will feature a tune inspired by the words of her poet father. Author and academic Miller Williams' Compassion has been realised in musical form by his daughter on Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone. Williams won acclaim when a poem he wrote was read at U.S. President Bill Clinton's second inauguration. The new album, which is set for release in September (14), will feature The Faces keyboard player Ian McLagan, guitarists Bill Frisell and Tony Joe White and the Wallflowers stars Stuart Mathis and Jakob Dylan.
