Dwayne Johnson has thanked fans for their well wishes after his mother and cousin were involved in an horrific car crash with a suspected drunk driver earlier this month (Aug14). The Fast & Furious star revealed on Sunday (10Aug14) that his mum Ata and cousin Lina Fanene had been hospitalised on 2 August (14) after the SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) they were travelling in was hit by a vehicle driven by an unnamed woman, who was being chased by police in Florida. Johnson did not reveal the extent of his relatives' injuries, but his mother was well enough to head home on Tuesday (12Aug14). He shared a photo of himself pushing Ata in a wheelchair, with her left arm in a cast, with his Instagram.com followers, and in the accompanying caption, he wrote, "Takin' mama home (sic). Banged up, but she's a tough one and will make a full recovery. Grateful to see her smile. And thank you guys for all the prayers, love and well wishes." The other female driver has been charged with one count of DUI.
