A defence attorney who represented Robert Downey, Jr., Rob Lowe and Robert Blake has died at the age of 78. Peter Knecht passed away on Friday (03Oct14) after a two-year battle with cancer.
Throughout his career, Knecht also represented celebrities including Dennis Hopper, Andy Garcia and Peter Fonda.
He was also an analyst and consultant on various U.S. news networks, including CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox and he authored upcoming autobiography Blood & Justice on the Sunset Strip.
Knecht is survived by his television personality and therapist wife Dr. Ava Cadell and two children.
