Peggy Lee’s daughter dies at 71

Legendary singer Peggy Lee’s daughter Nicki Lee Barbour Foster has died, aged 71. Barbour Foster passed away on Friday (14Nov14) in Twin Falls, Idaho after suffering complications from a stroke.
She grew up in Los Angeles but moved to New York in 1983 to help her mother launch the autobiographical music Peg on Broadway.
Foster went on to direct children’s community theatre and also starred in stage and radio productions.
She also served as director emeritus of Peggy Lee Associates, the company she helped create in order to manage her late mum’s catalogue of more than 1,100 songs, as well as branding, licensing and development activities related to the Fever hitmaker.
Her mother and father, Dave Barbour, first met when they were performing with legendary bandleader Benny Goodman. They wed in 1943 and split in 1951. Barbour passed away in 1965 and Lee died in 2002.
