The Matrix trilogy producer has signed on to adapt the shift-shaping character's TV series into a big screen project.
He tells Variety, "I think we have to try something fresh and go at it in a way that stays true to the original material. I have a five year old and a nine year old, so it's somewhere between them."
And he hopes this film will be a lot more successful than his last attempt to turn a cartoon into a movie: "I tried to do (something similar) with Speed Racer and failed miserably. You always learn more from the ones that don't work than the ones that do work."
