Actress Lauren Ambrose has officially been cast in an upcoming revival of hit musical Funny Girl. The Six Feet Under star will portray Fanny Brice, the character previously played by Barbra Streisand, in a new production of the hit 1964 show, which will debut in Los Angeles next year (12) before heading to Broadway.
