Justin Bieber continues his overwhelming onslaught of music videos and Macy's commercials in the name of the merriest part of winter with this Arthur Christmas ad in music video clothing, "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town." Now, sometimes music videos are just too good for a simple introduction and mild joke about recent events in the singer's life. Some videos are unique enough that they merit extra attention. With that in mind, we offer up the inaugural post of a new feature we like to call Translating the Video. And who better to start with than Bieber?
Justin Bieber's Rendition of the Classic Christmas Song, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"
What we'd expect to see in the video:
What we actually get:
Justin Bieber stars as a lonely, troubled young man, who lost his arm in a tragic Michael Jackson impersonation contest when he was just four years old. Since that time, he's been fitted with a mechanical arm and in order to afford it, his parents dress him in his grandmother's hand-me downs. The kids at school may laugh, they may shun him, but his good nature never wavers. He puts that mechanical arm to use and builds himself a legion of life-size toys to teach him how to dance. It takes every last fiber of his being, but he becomes a great dancer, bursting with confidence. With his newfound self-worth, he becomes brave enough to rip off his Tiny Tim jacket and expose his grandmother-chic duds to the world.
