There must be something in the air today because I'm reporting yet ANOTHER Hollywood breakup. After being together for over a decade, US Weekly exclusively learned that Debra Messing and her hubby Daniel Zelman decided to call it quits on their marriage earlier this year. Messing's rep confirmed the news to the magazine in a statement, saying, "Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10 year marriage." The couple started dating in 2000 and now share a 7-year-old son, Roman.
So what made this longtime marriage come to an end (other than the dreadful Hollywood curse)? The rep explained, "The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family," which is evident given how the duo is still living together. According to a source close to the family, "They have been separated the better part of the year but continue to live together in New York for Roman. It's very amicable." The couple were even photographed over Halloween weekend, where they dressed up in complementary ghoulish costumes at Bette Midler's annual Hulaween bash in NYC.
So basically, they still act like a full-fledged married couple (and to think I wondered why we didn't hear about the breakup until now) even though they are apparently no longer together. It's a little unconventional even for Hollywood's standards, but hey -- whatever works for them!
