In 2011, Charlie Sheen became one of the most talked about celebrities of the year and was even named one of the hottest topics on Twitter. His egotistical interviews and headline-making antics quickly made his following reach epic sizes -- and don't even get me started on those coined catchphrases (Winning!). The point is, Sheen kinda went crazy and we all got to watch as he gradually spiraled out of control. But now in light of the New Year, the actor claims to have seen the error of his ways and is now a changed man.
The former Two and a Half Men star spoke with reporters at Sunday night's Fox Network Television Critics Association party and announced, "I'm not crazy any more. That was an episode." He went on to say, I think I'm a different person than I was yesterday. Everything is a lot more mellow and focused and much more rooted in reality." So that should be a nice change.
In fact, Sheen's been finding much better ways to spend his days, opting for family time over his legendary Twitter rants. He said, "I've been spending a lot of time with the kids, a lot of time with the family and I'm getting back into work mode." And as for his love life, the Hollywood star admits to being goddess-free right now, stating, "I'm a single guy hanging out with my children."
I really want to believe that Sheen's finally seen the light. I mean, let's face it, the whole "crazy celeb" routine was getting a little old. And he seems sincere enough to actually mean that he's changed for the better. But then again, we're only nine days into the year...anything could happen. We'll just have to wait and see!
