Unless you've been living under a rock for the last 14 hours, you're more than aware that the New York Giants won the Super Bowl last night (woot, woot). So naturally, it's all anyone can talk about. It seems, however, that some people are handing the news better than others, especially Gisele Bundchen, wife to the Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. The outspoken supermodel was not shy in voicing her opinion on the game's outcome, blaming her husband's teammates for the loss and implying they left him to do all the work. How do we know this all really went down? The Insider caught it all on tape.
After making her way through a slew of Giants fans, Bundchen vented her frustration over the situation, saying, "You [need] to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times." Although she doesn't specifically mention any names, she's clearly referring to Wes Welker, Deion Branch and Aaron Hernandez, who all dropped passes during the game.
Bundchen is known for showing her husband unwavering support -- she even emailed friends last week to pray for her man's victory. But her finger-pointing will undoubtedly go over poorly many football fans. And while it's unfair to pass blame onto someone else just to make your husband look good, it is sweet to see just how supportive she is of him. The bottom line is she's just a wife standing by her man, so although it's a poor display of sportsmanship, her need to defend her husband is understandable. And come on, she's not the first person to lose track of her composure during a sports game.
