March 1 marks a special day for many reasons. For one, it means spring is well on its way and for another, it's the date of Justin Bieber's birth. The superstar turned 18 years old today and chose to celebrate by appearing on The Ellen Show (set to air this afternoon). But the singer had much more to say than just his upcoming birthday plans. In fact, Bieber shared some rather exciting news: he's gearing up to release a brand new single called "Boyfriend." What did you think we meant?
The teen heartthrob told Ellen DeGeneres, "My big announcement is that on March 26 my first single is coming out and it’s called 'Boyfriend,'” a song co-written by Bieber and Mike Posner. As for the reason behind the title, Biebs explained, "Basically I’m talking to this girl if I was your boyfriend I would never let you go." The teenage demographic is sure to have a field day with this one. Get ready for another wave of Bieber Fever.
But the star was in for a special treat of his own when his manager, Scooter, appeared on stage and surprised him with a new set of wheels. And not just any wheels -- the environmentally friendly Fiskar Karma. Scooter remarked, "You work really, really hard. I always yell at you don’t get anything flashy. You know, we’re not about that. Be humble, be humble and I kind of broke my own rule." And after suffering through his first paternity lawsuit last year, he's earned it.
