It's been nearly four months since Giuliana Rancic underwent a successful double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery after discovering she had breast cancer back in October 2011. And while it's been a difficult road to travel, Rancic's managed to dazzle the world with her upbeat attitude and positive thinking — something that has really seemed to pay off.
The E! News co-host appeared on the Today Show with her husband Bill Rancic on April 2 to give an update on her continuing progress. And the outlook is still in her favor. "I'm good," Rancic said. "I mean, it's been a tough journey... but after further research and further testing, as of now, I won't be needing chemotherapy, which is fantastic news. But I will go forward with oral medication. You do what the doctors tell you to do and it's going to be OK."
But Rancic's on-going treatment isn't stopping the loving couple in their quest to become parents. In fact, her husband admitted they've recently been exploring all their options. "There's a lot of things we haven't looked at yet," he said. "So, we're going to dive in and I think this is going to be our year."
The Fashion Police star also added: "At the end of the day, whether you have a baby naturally, through adoption, through surrogacy, it's your baby. You're going to love that baby and that's all that matters."
However, until that joyous day comes, the married duo are trying to focus on their love for one another and even have plans to renew their vows over the summer.
