ALT Music is truly one of the most open-ended art forms. Songs can come from anywhere, and be about anything. But it seems that the music world has put a new spin on the way stuff is done recently. From Kanye West writing songs  about Kim Kardashian to Serena Williams trying out her rap skills, there's some funky stuff going on in the music world right about now.

Kanye West Wrote a Song About Marrying Kim Kardashian

The rapper hasn't been dating the leader of the Kardashians for very long, but he's already preparing a customized wedding march. Kanye is working on a new song that includes the following lyric: "I saw you in the club in a white dress/Now I want to put you in a white dress." Is he ready to propose? Kardashian isn't even officially divorced yet!

Justin Bieber's Song About His Mother

Not long after announcing he was writing a song about the woman who slapped him with a paternity suit, Justin Bieber is penning an ode to someone a little closer to his heart: his mother. The song is called "Turn To You," and was written as a Mother's Day present for Bieber's mom Pattie Mallette.

Lil Wayne Calls Kobe Bryant His Muse

Everybody needs their own Diane Keaton. For Lil Wayne, it's Kobe Bryant. The rapper expressed his fondness for the Lakers' shooting guard to the LA Times, affirming that, "He's inspired not only songs, but he's inspired me in life in general just the way he attacks things, the way he never backs down, the way he fights through injury."

Ah, the Ying Yang Twins. The pinnacle of pop culture relevance. The musical duo has taken Justin Bieber's popular song "Boyfriend" and put their own hip hop spin on it. However, Ying Yang Twin D-Roc had a more "adult" spin on the theme of the song: "He want to be your boyfriend, but I want to be your man," he said to MTV. "I don't want to be your boyfriend. I'm bigger than the boyfriend. But ... if you got a little sister, Justin Bieber want[s] to be her boyfriend."

American Idol treated Jennifer Lopez to a team of shirtless male dance partners on Thursday night's episode. Oddly enough, they all looked exactly like Lopez's boyfriend Casper Smart.
