Controversial supermodel Kate Moss has kept a lucrative contract with Italian tire giant Pirelli, because the company had already spent over $1 million on its new calendar when her drug shame hit the front pages.

The catwalk queen lost a number of deals after images of her allegedly snorting cocaine appeared in British newspaper the Daily Mirror last month--but Pirelli insists it will stand by Moss.

A Pirelli source says, "There was a lot of talk about whether we should drop Kate.

"But the calendar had already been produced at a cost of more than ($1.8 million). There was no way Kate's four photographs could be replaced."
