Katy Perry Wide AwakeIt's time to start googling all of your favorite songs and watching the music videos for them because the nominations are in for MTV's 2012 Video Music Awards. While some of the nominees — like Katy Perry for "Wide Awake" and Rihanna for "We Found Love" — don't come as any surprise at all, there are a few that made the list that are quite shocking. Frank Ocean, who just recently came out as gay, has three nominations for Best New Artist, Best Male Video, and even Best Direction. But Ocean better watch out, because the little one-hit wonder Carly Rae Jepsen is challenging him for Best New Artist with her song "Call Me Maybe."
