Michael Lohan, who was recently released from a two-year prison sentence, has halted his custody battle with his estranged wife in an effort to help his 21-year-old daughter, who was arrested on drunk-driving and cocaine-possession charges on Tuesday morning.
But Lohan’s father is prohibited from getting in contact with the Mean Girls star or her lawyer, Blair Berk, after the latter made an official complaint about Michael's "repeated, unreciprocated" attempts to get in touch last month.
And a police source claims Michael will be in violation of an order issued by the New York State Division of Parole, Central Long Island Bureau if he tries to get close to the young actress, reports TMZ.com.
Lohan's Mother 'Sick' over Arrest
Lindsay Lohan's mother is "sick" with worry after the actress' drunk-driving arrest--but has vowed not to "give up" on her daughter.
The 21-year-old was arrested in Santa Monica, California, on Tuesday morning, just 10 days after leaving rehab and two months after she was involved in a drunken car crash in Los Angeles.
Dina Lohan has reassured fans Lindsay is safe and well--but has taken a swipe at the media for hounding the star and her family.
She says, "We are doing everything in our power in support of Lindsay and I won't give up--this is my daughter and we love her.
"I am sick over this. My children, my family--we are like prisoners in our own home because paparazzi (are stalking us) outside (our) home. Lindsay is in a safe place, and we are trying to strategically work out our next step."
