Mar 19, 2009 | 9:18pm EDT

Jodie Foster has become the latest star to pay tribute to actress Natasha Richardson, who died on Wednesday.

In a statement, Foster, who starred alongside the Brit and her husband Liam Neeson in 1994 movie Nell, remembers Richardson as a woman who "loved fiercely."

She says, "Natasha was brilliant, beautiful, funny, talented beyond measure, as emotionally raw as she was razor sharp.

"Tasha loved fiercely and that love continues in all of us who knew her. May Liam, her beautiful boys and her loving family hold her close as they move through this tragic moment."

Demi Moore also paid her respects in a message on her Twitter.com message board.

She writes, "I am sending out prayers for Natasha Richardson and her family. A real reminder of how precious life is and how quickly it can be gone."

And another tribute has come in from Mia Farrow, who has revealed that the late actress was godmother to two of her adopted kids.

Farrow, who appeared in Widow's Peak with Richardson, tells WENN, "Tasha is irreplaceable. I cannot think of anyone kinder, more generous, thoughtful, smarter or more fun.

"She is the godmother of two of my children. The Neesons... have always made me feel a part of their wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with them."

Richardson passed away after suffering a brain injury in a fall while taking skiing lessons in Montreal on Monday.
