Watch A 7-Foot Sad Clown With A Voice Like Tom Jones Cover Lorde's 'Royals'

If you've ever wondered what a seven-foot melodramatic clown with a 'voice like Tom Jones' performing the hell out of Lorde's "Royals" would look and sound like, then wonder no more!

For Scott Bradlee, the man behind genre-crossing cover specialists Postmodern Jukebox, decided that Halloween would be the perfect time to upload their rather unique rendition of the New Zealander's anti-consumerist anthem onto YouTube.

Anyone scarred for life after watching the adaptation of Stephen King's IT should probably give it a miss. But those without an understandable fear of red-nosed circus entertainers can now enjoy the spectacle of a super-tall and super-sad one named Puddles belting out the US number one while accompanied by a three-piece backing band and two equally solemn backing singers.

It's the latest in a long line of enjoyably quirky interpretations from the collective, who have previously transformed Miley Cyrus' twerk anthem, "We Can't Stop," into a slice of 50s doo-wop, given Nickelback's post-grunge anthem "How You Remind Me" a Motown makeover and turned the sleazy funk of Robin Thicke's ubiquitous "Blurred Lines" into a bluegrass barn dance hoedown.

But even those who don't suffer from coulrophobia would acknowledge that it's definitely the creepiest.
