Winter's Bone, which tells the story of a 17-year-old girl living in America's Ozark Mountain range, landed the grand jury prize for best American drama as well as the screenwriting award for director Debra Granik and co-writer Anne Rosellini.
Restrepo, which follows the lives of U.S. soldiers fighting in Afghanistan, was named best U.S documentary.
