The judge who was presiding over Lindsay Lohan's case about the crime of something that nobody really cares about anymore, recused herself last Friday from any and all matters related to the hearings. Giggity giggity.
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney told People Magazine that the prosecutor "raised objections about the judge having hearings and conference calls without having the DAs present or being notified. It happened several times." More specifically, Judge Martha Revel, changed the location where Lindsay was to receive rehabilitation treatment at the last minute and didn't tell the prosecutor, which apparently isn't kosher. Personally, I only know it isn't because of a special Law and Order: SVU episode where a judge's ex-parte communications with the defendant led her to kill her daughter. Oh yeah. Cookies crumble.
Replacing Judge Revel will be Judge Elden Fox, who sentenced Winona Ryder to three years of probation and to pay Saks Fifth Avenue around $10,000 for the $5,000 worth of jeans and slouchy hats that she stole from them. It's too bad Fox can't make Lindsay give back the coke she was sniffing and the vodka she was drinking when she drove her car into something. Truthfully, I can't even remember what all these charges are for. She might as well have illegally de-thorned a cactus.
