You may have forgotten, but Charlie Sheen isn't the only famous screw-up out there right now. Remember Lindsay Lohan? The one who's been to rehab more times than I've been to the gym I pay 75 dollars a month to be a member of? The starlet who "allegedly" (and accidentally?) stole a necklace while on parole? Guess what? She gives interviews too! She may not give as many in rapid succession as say, Charlie Sheen, but she sure does do 'em so PAY ATTENTION TO HER. Okay?
Now that your memory is refreshed, I bet you won't remember the last time Lohan said something mature -- or even something that didn't cement her as a spoiled, over-privileged celebutante parading as an actress. But get this: she seems to finally get it. (Maybe it's watching all this insanity surrounding Sheen, but hey, we'll give her these rare praises where they are due.) Lohan says, "As long as I'm focusing on the one thing that I know I need to put forth in my life, which is you know, my recovery and stuff. Then I'm doing good and that's most important for me."
That almost sounds enlightened. Could it be that she actually really does get it? (Well, as much as someone can when they're like her and are out of touch with the reality most of us are familiar with.) She goes on to say, "I don't think that would be fair to just say 'Oh, this is who I want to work with!' and expect that to happen. No, I have to build my way back up. I get that." Holy crap. My mind is blown. I think Lindsay Lohan FINALLY gets it. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this isn't a fluke (or a symptom of the Charlie Sheen comparison).
