billy ray cyrusEditors of The View kept Billy Ray Cyrus' announcement that he wasn't going to divorce his wife anymore in Friday's episode, but they cut something much more interesting out of it. It was revealed that Billy Ray wrote a screenplay called Paris specifically for Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock, and himself. Cyrus told Goldberg that his goal was to have her direct it and star in it, but at first, Goldberg didn't seem very keen on that particular kind of experience. She replied, "There's not a lot of movie stuff for me these days, because, apparently, it turns out that I'm black. I don't know if you know that." But after Cyrus agreed to direct the movie because she was too lazy, Goldberg "eventually relented" and said "Let's play. I'm up. I'll even lose a little weight."

Now before we all get worked up, let's remember what this is: it's just a Billy Ray Cyrus screenplay. Though this in itself seems catastrophic, it's not terrible. Excuse me. The script itself is probably terrible -- but this situation is not. I am not going to speculate as to what Paris would be about, because if it was written for me, it would be about an iguana that gets piggy back rides from a gopher. But it wasn't written for me. It was written for Whoopi Goldberg. But other than that knowledge, all we have here is the that Billy Ray Cyrus used a computer to type up a few hundred pages of something he thinks might be fun. Yes... that's also scary. But we're probably so far away from this movie that it isn't even worth thinking about. There's nothing about it on IMDB.com, so it's not even in production yet. Nobody has bought the rights to it either. I'd say we can start worrying about this movie when two Spice Girls are pregnant at the same time.

Oh! Oh really? Well, shit.
