Once all this trial business is behind her, Lindsay Lohan will apparently take the necessary measures needed to drop her last name so she can legally be referred to as just "Lindsay." Dina Lohan, Lindsay's mom, confirmed to PopEater's Rob Shuter by saying, "Lindsay is dropping the Lohan and just going by Lindsay. Plus, me and [younger daughter Ali] will be officially changing our last names back to my maiden name, Sullivan." To Lindsay's credit, Dina says Lindsay has wanted to do this for a long time, but was too fearful that if she just started going by "Lindsay" that no one would know who she was. However, once that E-trade commercial aired during the Super Bowl and referred to "the milkaholic Lindsay," it became clear to her that the Lohan, at this point, was overkill. It would also be understandable if the change was, in part, inspired by her diminishing relationship with her father, who was recently arrested for domestic violence. Either way, it seems all this time in court has definitely given Lindsay an education about precisely what it is for.
