You'll recall that shortly after Kim Kardashian became engaged to Kris Humphries, Football player Bret Lockett told In Touch magazine that Kim had cheated on Kris with him while they were first dating. However, Kim was outraged when she heard about Lockett's claims and took to her blog and made an extensive statement about how she'd never met Lockett OR exchanged the highly sexual texts that Lockett claims she did. She said, "This guy should be ashamed of himself. Calling up a magazine and making up an entirely fake story just to get attention!?!?! It's just shameful and this guy should feel ashamed and humiliated. My friend Lauren London has never even met this guy, so to say she was the one who set us up is totally untrue. I find it so sad that a magazine will take the word of a stranger and try to pass their story off as true. And what's even more odd is that this guy would carry on a 'relationship,' yet never speak on the phone or see me in person? Makes no sense! Oh, and this guy has a rap album launching!!?!?! Wow...motives! LOL." The blog post ends with Kim expressing plans to take legal action against In Touch and Bret Locket.
And in what probably was an attempt to redeem himself, Lockett appeared on Showbiz Tonight last night and admitted that he had never actually met Kim because their schedules were both very busy, but instead what happened was Kim's friend asked for his number on behalf of Kim and that once she got it she texted him somewhat dirty things. Host A.J. Hammer gave Lockett the chance to explain how someone can have what Lockett called "a physical relationship" with someone they've never met, and Lockett said the way a physical relationship works is when two people have never met before is when a person touches themselves while they're texting the other person, which is what Kim did numerous times. In other words, while Lockett maintains he had an affair with Kim Kardashian, he probably didn't because his definition of what happened with Kim Kardashian doesn't fit the average person's description of "an affair." But good luck with your rap album, Lockett! And with your cognitive dissonance!
