Wedding bells are in the air. The creator of Glee, Ryan Murphy, announced his engagement to his life-long partner today during a KIIS-FM radio interview with Ryan Seacrest. Murphy, 45, said, "I'm with a great fellow now who I've known for 15 years....we just got engaged and I'm very excited about it!" Who can blame him? His career and love life seem to be right on track. Does this mean Gleeks worldwide should be expecting a wedding themed episode in the upcoming third season? One can only hope! I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a small Glee performance during the wedding ceremony (does that only sound amazing to me?). Enough with the original songs though, let's stick to the covered songs please.
Murphy's accomplishments don't just begin and end with Glee. The Golden Globe winner created the well known F/X drama Nip/Tuck and the WB series Popular. He also directed the recent box office hit, Eat, Pray, Love, which starred Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem. I'm getting a very everything-he-touches-turns-to-gold vibe from him. Congratulations to Murphy - keep doing what you're doing. Here's to many more years of success and a happy marriage full of much GLEE (alright I'll stop).
