Not all is well in Baldwinville. Daniel Baldwin, brother to the more well-known Alec Baldwin, has filed for divorce from his wife, Joanne, merely one day after filing a restraining order against her -- talk about a double whammy! The actor blames the split on his soon-to-be ex-wife's problems with drugs and alcohol and has forced her to move out of their house in Oregon they have shared with their two children. Baldwin issued a statement about the break-up lamenting, "Sadly I must report that I have decided to part ways with my wife Joanne...due to recent events in our home and for the safety of my children and myself, I have made this decision. My hopes and prayers are with Joanne that she may recover from her recent problems and reclaim her role in our children's lives."
The couple were married on July 28, 2007 and have two daughters together: Avis Ann, 3, and Finley Rae Martineau, who is almost 2 years old. As of right now, Baldwin was granted temporary custody of the kids. There has been no immediate comment from Joanne regarding these recent events. It's always sad when children have to suffer because of this and it's also equally sad that it takes something like this to get Mr. Baldwin's name in the news.
