steve carellIt was a sad day at The Office when Dunder Mifflin had to say goodbye to Steve Carell.  His humor, love for fun, and distractions that prevented any work from actually getting done officially made him the world's best boss.  But as we morn the loss of our favorite office instigator, we'll be welcoming some new faces to The Office family.  As reported earlier this month, James Spader will be joining the show by, first taking over as branch manager, before quickly moving up to the parent company, Sabre, and becoming Dunder Mifflin's CEO.  This guy sure works fast doesn't he?

Now questions will range from will we like having him on the show? to how big of role will he play throughout the season?, but let's not forget one of the most important questions -- what does Steve Carell think about this new addition?  He may be gone from the show, but we still care what he thinks of its newest member.  While promoting his upcoming movie, Crazy, Stupid, Love, Carell commented that his former co-stars were very pleased that Spader was joining the group.  The star himself stated, “I think it’s an excellent choice...I think it’s great and he will infuse all this new energy into the show.”  Obviously no one will be able to fill the Michael Scott hole that has been made in our hearts, Spader seems like a solid decision that could bring a lot more laughs to the already hilarious show.

As for Carell's upcoming projects, he's looking forward to changing up his normally comedic roles with a much more dramatic overtone.  Steve explains, “I’m very dramatic in it. There’s a lot of pathos," which is understandable since he's playing a dad whose wife cheats on him and asks for a divorce.  That's enough to turn anyone's smile into a frown.  Either way, this actor never disappoints his audience, so it's sure to a entertaining to say the least.  Crazy, Stupid, Love hits theaters on July 29.
