I've noticed that sometimes when celebrities have babies, they seem to fall off the face of the earth for a while. They probably realize how much more important family is compared to fame, so they decide to cut back on the red carpets and press tours for a while and just enjoy their lovely little family niche they've created. Sometimes this change is permanent. Other times our favorite stars enter back into the spotlight before we've even had any time to morn the fact that they're gone.
Natalie Portman may end up falling into the latter category.
Looks like it's back to the old grind for Natalie, as its been announced she has landed her first post-baby film gig. The Oscar-winning actress just recently welcomed her son Aleph into the world in June and now she's already in talks to be the lead role in the indie drama Adaline. The film centers around a woman who is in an accident, but for some reason stops aging afterwords and eventually meets a man who may be worth giving up immortality for. Oh the old eternal life or eternal love dilemma -- I think that this baby mama would be up for the task -- she looks great just months after having the little guy. As of right now it's all just informal talks and nothing has been officially signed yet, but it's nice to know she's getting right back up on the acting horse. I will be interested to see if she can top her performance in Black Swan, we'll have to wait and see. Welcome back Natalie!
